WHEN YOU REMOVE BIBLE DOCTRINE FOR THE CHRISTIAN IN THE CHURCH AGE, YOU ARE LEFT WITH LITTLE MORE THAN FAIRY TALES AND FABLES.

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” Revelation 19:11 (KJV)

In America today, there are roughly 300,000 churches claiming to represent Jesus Christ, that’s an average of 6,000 churches per state. That’s a lot of churches. So why are so many professing Christians ignorant about the main theme of the Bible? Because there is not one in a thousand that preaches Bible doctrine, and not one in ten thousand that believes the book of Revelation is a road map of the future.

What is the main theme of the Bible, you ask? From cover to cover, the main theme of the Bible is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to rule and reign as King over all the nations, literally, physically and visibly. I will pause here for a moment as you struggle to collect your thoughts, your mind reeling from trying to process this “strange teaching” that your pastor never touches on in your church.

When Paul commanded Timothy to study the word like a “workman”, and to learn to “rightly divide” the truth of scripture, he was giving us a template for proper Bible study. Making necessary divisions like between Old Testament – New Testament, Jews – Christians – Gentiles, etc, takes away the confusion and seeming contradictions present when casually studying from a high level. Paul also says that in the end times, Bible doctrine will thrown out the window, leaving the average Christian in the dark about the future.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 2:3,4 (KJV)

When you remove Bible doctrine for the Christian in the Church Age, you are left with little more than fairy tales and fables. Joel Osteen has famously stated that the reason he refuses to preach on Hell and the coming judgment is because “most Christians are beaten down enough”. Hmm, I guess Joel knows better what a Christian needs than God does, because God commands us to study about the things that are about to come upon all the earth.

Paul says that in the end times Christians will “not endure sound doctrine” and so it is. The main reason they “won’t endure” it is because most preachers won’t preach it. So with that introduction, let’s get to today’s lesson on why pastors refuse to preach the truth about the Second Coming of Jesus. I have boiled it down to easy to read bullet points for those of you who are easily exhausted by actual Bible study.

THE TOP 5 REASONS PASTORS REFUSE TO PREACH ON THE TRUTH OF THE SECOND COMING:

THE RETURNING JESUS IS REPULSIVE TO THE LAODICEAN CHRISTIAN: Go to your average mega-church where thousands will gather on a Sunday, and you will hear happy, upbeat messages about how God has a “wonderful plan” for your life. What you will not hear is that when Jesus returns at the Second Coming, He stomps His enemies the same way you stomp grapes, with the literal blood of the fallen staining His white robes. Not only that, His eyes are gleaming while He does it. This imagery does not fit well with Laodicean slop like The Power Of I Am, and The Purpose Driven Life. But the Bible clearly and plainly teaches that the returning Jesus is coming to claim His Kingdom, and anyone who gets in the way will be flattened instantly. “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”Revelation 19:13 (KJV)
THE DAY OF THE LORD IS FILLED WITH TERROR AND DARKNESS: Your average Laodicean pastor hardly ever mentions the Second Coming, but when they do, it’s usually something along of the lines of this. “One fine day, Jesus will return and the world will live in peace and harmony, and there will be no more social injustice and everyone will be happy”. What he doesn’t tell you is that the Day Jesus comes back, the world is thrown into terrifying darkness, and that Jesus has come to rule this world as a military dictator. Joel has this to say about that Day – “Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.” Joel 1:15 (KJV). John has this to say about the military dictatorship – “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” Revelation 19:15 (KJV). And I could give you dozens of verses more, from both Testaments, proving what I say is true.
CHRISTIANS ARE NOT ‘BRINGING IN THE KINGDOM’: Have you ever sat in church and listened to the pastor waxed eloquently about “bringing in the kingdom”, and that we must all “work together” to establish God’s kingdom here on Earth? They do that so they can justify building programs, staff expansions, new locations and all the rest. People who are fooled into thinking they are “bringing in the kingdom” are willing to give large sums of money and provide free labor. Those two things are exactly why pastors preach like that. But the Bible says nothing about anyone bringing in the Kingdom except for Jesus Christ at the Second Coming. The only kingdom that humans are creating is the kingdom of Antichrist that will opposeJesus when He returns. “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” Revelation 12:10 (KJV).
JERUSALEM AS THE CENTER OF THE WORLD IS ABHORRENT TO MOST PASTORS: Because most pastors and preachers in America today are not Bible believers, they spiritualize and make metaphor out of clear and plain Bible teaching. Scripture absolutely teaches a literal, visible and physical rule of the returned Jesus, who is now King of Kings, over all the nations of the Earth, and on His Throne in Jerusalem. Let me put it to you more plainly. When Jesus returns, people will be able to travel to Israel and see with their eyes Jesus ruling in righteousness from the actual land mass called Israel. This will take place for one thousand literal, actual calendar years. Don’t believe it? Then you don’t believe the Bible. Isaiah says: “For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.” Isaiah 66:18-20 (KJV). Zechariah says: “And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” Zechariah 14:9 (KJV). John says: “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6 (KJV).
THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS TOO UNPLEASANT TO CONSIDER: Ask the average Laodicean Christian about the book of Revelation, and more often than not you will hear them say that it’s a “symbolic book” that contains “confusing and dark” references to things that “no one can really understand”. The average Christian pastor, from any denomination, feels the same way, too. Now I’ll grant you that, like a Swiss watch, there are a lot of “moving parts” in the book of Revelation. It’s complex for sure, but far from being “unknowable”. But the real reason why Christians turn away from Revelation is not that it “cannot be understood”, but rather that what it contains is too repulsive to contemplate. Revelation shows us the collapse of the professing Christian church into apostasy in chapter 3, the rapture of the Church in chapter 4, Jesus releasing Antichrist in chapter 6, and from there we see virtually unlimited death, destruction and terrifying judgments. So bad in fact that men’s hearts “failing them for fear”. Christians tell me all the time that, while they are looking forward to seeing Jesus, they don’t want the Rapture to take place before they can get married and have kids. So pastors don’t preach on the Pretrib Rapture because they want their flock focusing on things of Earth like building programs and fundraisers. “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.” Luke 21:25,26 (KJV).

Now you know why your church doesn’t preach Bible doctrine and why your pastor is deceiving you with fluff stories and fairy tales. Because the truth is too terrible to contemplate, and it’s bad for business. Note: While the book of Revelation chapter 12 verse 14, talks about Israelis (the woman) that God had prepared a place to escape from the Great Tribulation, verse 17 above defines the qualification of those who are so favoured: only a remnant, the rest had been killed in the Great Tribulation (forthcoming holocaust). They are the ones who keep the Commandments (Ten) of God, and have or keep or believe the Testimony of Jesus Messiah in regards to His Son-ship (Son of God), His Messiah-ship, His death, burial and resurrection from the death, His ascension to His heavenly throne, His Priesthood, His Second Coming as King of kings and Lord of lords!

These things do occur but they never occur all at the same time. This, at least for me, raises many flags. But when you add these things to the actions of those in charge, you can only come to one solution. Nibiru is coming and they are preparing to save themselves. I BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT IS COMING SO THEY CAN PREPARE AS BEST THEY CAN. Syrian Rebels Infiltrate IDF Post in Golan Heights

Unidentified armed Syrians infiltrated an unmanned Israeli army post in the TelFaris area of the southern Golan Heights Tuesday night.

It is believed they may have been radical Islamist rebel fighters, possibly members of the Al Qaeda-linked Jabhatal Nusra (AlNusraFront) terrorist group that has vowed to conquer the Golan Heights after its civil war against President Bashar al-Assad has been won, and then eventually all of “Palestine.”

The two were spotted by soldiers from the IDF’s Nahal Brigade during a routine patrol of the area, but managed to flee before the soldiers arrived.

IDF forces searched the area for the infiltrators.

At around the same time, the same IDF unit came under fire by government forces fighting for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. It is believed they may have been targeting rebel fighters at the Israeli outpost.

IDF soldiers returned fire towards the source of the shots, and no injuries or damage was reported by the unit.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Office, “During a routine patrol, suspicious activity was observed at an abandoned outpost in the southern Golan Heights, on the eastern side of the fence. The forces came under fire during their patrol, and returned fire to the source of the shots. There were no injuries or damage reported. IDF forces are searching the area for the perpetrators,” the spokesperson added.

Six mortar shells were fired from Syria at Israeli territory on Tuesday.

All of them exploded in open areas of the Golan Heights without causing damage or casualties.

With the condition of all the world wide economies, along with the dysfunction of a lot of things in our lives today, everybody wants to understand – are we truly living in the end times as prophesied from our Bible?

There’s one method to know for sure, and that’s to study the signs that the Bible claimed would happen shortly before Jesus comes down again to us.

Based on the Bible, here are some of the miscellaneous signs that will take place before Jesus comes back down to us:

a. Perilous moments will arrive.

b. False Christs and False Prophets will arrive to con including the elect.

c. Wars and rumors of wars.

d. Nation against nation, kingdom against kingdom.

e. Increased famines, pestilences and also earthquakes.

f. Lawlessness and immorality will abound.

g. The love of many will grow cold.

h. Many Christians will depart from the faith giving attention to deceiving spirits and also doctrines of demons.

i. Men will become lovers of self, lovers of money, unholy, proud, boasters, blasphemers, unloving, disobedient to mothers and fathers, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, traitors, headstrong, lovers of delight as opposed to lovers of God and also ungrateful.

j. The Holy Spirit will be poured out on all flesh.

k. The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be taught to the whole world and then the end arrives.

l. God will open up end time prediction for all to know and also translate so as to plan for His next coming.

If you look very carefully at some of these signs, a lot of them are actually happening. Granted, a few of them had already been taking place over the history of the world, many of them are escalating in number and intensity. All you need to do is see the daily news which is one scary story after another.

Those who study Bible prophecy believe we’re truly living in the end times as prophesied in the Bible. Only time will tell when the 7 year Great Tribulation will come upon us.

The signing of the Seven Year Peace Treaty brokered by the US envoys is targeted to be executed within nine months to come. When God tells an unsaved man to repent, He means for that man to change his mind about how to reach God and accept His way of salvation. The person must change his mind from any idea of saving himself through religion or good works, and trust Christ’s death as payment for everything he has done wrong. So guys in Romans 10:13 it says FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED. After we’re saved the Lord sends His Holy Spirit to dwell in us and help us change our behavior, but that happens after were saved, not before, and even then we really won’t ever completely stop sinning until we’re raptured or resurrected. Disciples of Christ Church Votes to Affirm Homosexuality, Transgenderism

It is often referred to as The Christian Church, The Disciples of Christ, or more simply as The Disciples. The Christian Church was a charter participant in the formation of both the World Council of Churches and the Federal Council of Churches (now the National Council of Churches), and it continues to be engaged in ecumenical conversations.

The General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) met in Orlando, Fla., this week and voted on a resolution that will embrace sexual orientation and gender identity as specially affirmed categories within the church.

According to a statement, the resolution also affirms the “faith, baptism and spiritual gifts of all Christians regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity” and states that neither is “grounds for exclusion from fellowship or service within the church.”

Williams told CP that the church allows openly gay individuals to serve in leadership roles, however, there are some churches within their council that “would have a problem with that.”

We have listened to the cause and identified the type of “falling away” churches. What does the “falling away” signals to us, believers? For us who are waiting for the “Blessed Hope” to be gathered together with our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Son of the Almighty God, it is good news!

Paul wrote the following regarding the subject:

2 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, AND BY OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM, [2] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. [3] Let no man deceive you by any means: FOR THAT DAY SHALL NOT COME, EXCEPT THERE COME A FALLING AWAY FIRST, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Note: We have seen that the “falling away” has been place for the last few years. As we have witnessed through so many video reports concerning natural disasters of apocalypse proportion, and the resumption of talks on the Seven Year Peace Treaty between Israel and Palestinian with her Arabs’ allies, we know the revealing of the man of sin, the son of perdition or Anti-Christ, is near.

[3] And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. [4] And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; BUT ONLY THOSE MEN WHICH HAVE NOT THE SEAL OF GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS.

Note: The last sentence in verse 4 discloses a very important point. At this stage of affairs, believers in the Lord Jesus Christ would have been raptured way before the blowing of the trumpets. While we have been told about the rapture of the church in the book of 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] THEN WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS, TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR: AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD.”

Let us be further assured of rapture promise from what the Lord Jesus revealed to John:

Revelation 3:10 BECAUSE THOU HAST KEPT THE WORD OF MY PATIENCE, I ALSO WILL KEEP THEE FROM THE HOUR OF TEMPTATION, WHICH SHALL COME UPON ALL THE WORLD, TO TRY THEM THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH. [11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Then, we should know what the WORD OF THE LORD’S PATIENCE truly is?

Let us look at Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians: (1Th 1:3) Remembering without ceasing your WORK OF FAITH, and LABOUR OF LOVE, and PATIENCE OF HOPE IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, IN THE SIGHT OF GOD AND OUR FATHER; [4] So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND FAITH IN ALL YOUR PERSECUTIONS AND TRIBULATIONS THAT YE ENDURE:

That, my brothers and sisters, is the WORD OF THE LORD’S PATIENCE!

The Lord Jesus further said in Revelation 3:9 Behold, I WILL MAKE THEM OF THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN, WHICH SAY THEY ARE JEWS, AND ARE NOT, BUT DO LIE; BEHOLD, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Then, who are the Jews from THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN?

Apostle Paul showed us his anger towards the Jews who persecuted the Thessalonians congregation in the following verses: 1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. [14] For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, EVEN AS THEY HAVE OF THE JEWS: [15] WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, AND THEIR OWN PROPHETS, AND HAVE PERSECUTED US; AND THEY PLEASE NOT GOD, AND ARE CONTRARY TO ALL MEN: [16] FORBIDDING US TO SPEAK TO THE GENTILES THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED, TO FILL UP THEIR SINS ALWAY: FOR THE WRATH IS COME UPON THEM TO THE UTTERMOST.

You see the severity of persecution by the Jews to the Thessalonians and other gentiles who accepted the Lord Jesus as their Lord and Savior! They meddled and thwarted the truth concerning salvation.

Where can we see the meddling Jews in the early stage of Christianity?

Act 15:1 “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, EXCEPT YE BE CIRCUMCISED AFTER THE MANNER OF MOSES, YE CANNOT BE SAVED…[5] But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, THAT IT WAS NEEDFUL TO CIRCUMCISE THEM, AND TO COMMAND THEM TO KEEP THE LAW OF MOSES.”

Doesn’t that sound pretty much like the new emerging “Back to the Hebrew Root” movement of these latter days? They advocate that believers of Jesus Christ should first become Jews by performing the rite of circumcision, and keep the law of Moses!

Is it not uncanny? The Lord Jesus Christ consoled His Church about who these Jews are who falsified the true gospel. Even the Lord promises to humiliate these Jews from the synagogue of Satan to come and worship at the believers feet who are loved by the Son of God, Jesus Christ!

No, Back to Hebrew Root requirement, No rite of circumcision, No keeping of the law of Moses!

Let us continue with the Fifth Trumpet:

First let me repeat Revelation 9: [4] And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; BUT ONLY THOSE MEN WHICH HAVE NOT THE SEAL OF GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS.

In the middle of the Great Tribulation (Jacob’s Trouble) we are told about MEN WHICH HAVE THE SEAL OF GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS.

Who are these people? For that, we have to go back to Revelation 7. Let me quote the few beginning verses:

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. [2] And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, [3] Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, TILL WE HAVE SEALED THE SERVANTS OF OUR GOD IN THEIR FOREHEADS. [4] And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

If we relate the status of the Jews in 1 Thessalonians 2:4 …THE JEWS: [15] WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, AND THEIR OWN PROPHETS, AND HAVE PERSECUTED US, the Chosen People (not the elect) up to the middle of the Great Tribulation, are still labeled as murderers of their “BROTHER” the Lord Jesus Christ!

What does that remind us? Cain and Abel! Cain was the first murderer in the human history. Before he went to his banishment, (Genesis 4:15c) ….AND THE LORD SET A MARK UPON CAIN, LEST ANY FINDING HIM SHOULD KILL HIM.

Continuing with the Fifth Trumpet:

Revelation 9:5 AND TO THEM IT WAS GIVEN THAT THEY SHOULD NOT KILL THEM, BUT THAT THEY SHOULD BE TORMENTED FIVE MONTHS: AND THEIR TORMENT WAS AS THE TORMENT OF A SCORPION, WHEN HE STRIKETH A MAN. [6] AND IN THOSE DAYS SHALL MEN SEEK DEATH, AND SHALL NOT FIND IT; AND SHALL DESIRE TO DIE, AND DEATH SHALL FLEE FROM THEM.

ISRAEL PALESTINIAN CONFLICT: THE TRUTH ABOUT THE PEACE PROCESS

Having been educated with the background information about the long-held discussion by various supposedly “peace seeking brokers” but never succeeded to resolve the issue, the incumbent US Secretary of State, John Kerry made another attempt to resurrect this here-to-fore unresolved “Peace Treaty” agreement.

The following video, we will hear the present US Secretary of State, John Kerry made which sounds like a last ditch effort through what looks like a threath to the Jews, to accept the Peace Treaty he seems to have formulated! The Peace Treaty will contain clauses to divide the land of Israel and Jerusalem, the City of our God, YHWH the Lord of Host.

Let us pay attention to what our Almighty God, YHWH the Lord of Host has said about this:

Daniel 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolation are determined. [27] AND HE SHALL CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY FOR ONE WEEK: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Yes, a Seven Year Peace Treaty will be signed, and the “man of lawlessness”, “the son of perdition” know to us as the Anti-Christ or Anti-Messiah will confirm when he appears on the world scene after the “rapture” of the body of Messiah, the temple of the Holy Spirit will be withdrawn for the world.

To give up God-given land, Israel, and divide His City, Jerusalem, our Almighty God has this to say:

[21] AND I WILL CALL FOR A SWORD AGAINST HIM THROUGHOUT ALL MY MOUNTAINS, SAITH THE LORD GOD: EVERY MAN’S SWORD SHALL BE AGAINST HIS BROTHER.

But while listening to Kerry’s speech, there are verses of scripture uploaded to show what our Lord God has in store for His people, Yisra’el. Let us equipped ourselves with the following:

The highlighted promises in verses 12 and 13, have happened already. The number of Yisra’elis now living in Eretz Yisra’el is equal to if not exceeding the number of Yisra’elis living outside the land of Israel.

Then, we will also watch the following verses of scripture breaking Kerry’s speech, promising the re-building the land and the people of Israel from what they have started to build presently, to the millennium kingdom when believers in Yeshua ha Masiach, will reign with the Almighty King, Yeshua ben YHWH Elohim Tsebaot, in the New Jerusalem.

Personal note: Starting this evening and for the next few days, I might not be able to write my daily devotional, as my wife and I have to stay in a hotel for the duration. The “great flood” of July 8th, 2013 past, inundated our basement at the crest, with one foot of water due to sewer back up. The Lord told us: Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ… Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Why am I quoting all these verses? Because, by what happened, we will have a modern basement and new furniture etc. which will be replaced at no cost to us except for the deductible amount. Even our hotel stay is paid for! The Lord knows who belong to Him.

Good news number 1, our loving God always gives us warning signs before end time catastrophes take place.

As the only One True God, He proves His sovereignty by pointing out to us with the following:

Sanhedrin Calls on Arabs to Take Their Role in Third Temple as Prophesied by Isaiah

The nascent Sanhedrin, a Biblically mandated court of 71 elders, released a letter in Hebrew, English and Arabic inviting the Arabs as the sons of Ishmael to take their role in supporting the Third Temple as prophesied by Isaiah. This move is far more than symbolic. It is intended to bring the entire world one step closer to the global peace that will characterize the Messianic era.

The letter reads:

“Dear brothers, the distinguished Sons of Ishmael, The great Arab nation,

“With the gracious help of the protector and Savior of Israel, Creator of the world by covenant, we declare that the footsteps of Messiah are evidently heard and that the time has come to rebuild the Temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem in its ancient place.”

“We, the Jews who advocate building of the Temple, are applying to your Honorable ones, who were nominated by their peoples to give oath, raise vows and gifts to the Temple as prophesied by prophet Isaiah concerning your essential role and honorable position in keeping the Temple and supporting it with lamb sacrifices and incense in order to receive God’s Blessings.”

Raise your eyes and look about: They have all gathered and come to you. Your sons shall be brought from afar, Your daughters like babes on shoulders. As you behold, you will glow; Your heart will throb and thrill— For the wealth of the sea shall pass on to you, The riches of nations shall flow to you. Dust clouds of camels shall cover you, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. They all shall come from Sheba; They shall bear gold and frankincense, And shall herald the glories of Hashem. Isaiah 60:4-6

“By virtue of this, we are certain that you will choose peaceful means and avoid all paths to hostility and violence. And we are sure that together we shall open doors to love and respect.”

The letter was signed by 23 respected Rabbis who have received smicha (Rabbinic ordination) for the purpose of re-establishing the Sanhedrin. The rabbis are in the process of acquiring signatures of the full quorum of 71, after which they will send the letter to major Arab institutions and leaders. They hope to hold a conference with Arabs.

Rabbi Yehoshua Hollander, a member of the Sanhedrin who signed the letter, felt it will serve to be an important bridge to the other nations.

“The Jews are commanded to be a nation of priests,” Rabbi Hollander told Breaking Israel News, citing a verse in Exodus.

But you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the children of Yisrael.” Exodus 19:6

“We are to be of service to the whole world in connecting to Hashem,” Rabbi Hollander continued.

“This is our purpose in life as Jews. The Sanhedrin is inviting them to benefit from this since the Temple is good for the whole world. This universal aspect is essential to what the Temple is; a house for all nations.”

I will bring them to My sacred mount And let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices Shall be welcome on My mizbayach; For My House shall be called A house of prayer for all peoples.” Isaiah 56:7

“Of course, for us to serve, the other people need to cooperate,” Rabbi Hollander added.

Rabbi Aharon Yitzchak Shtern, a member of the Sanhedrin who is prominent in the Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox) community, believes the time for such a declaration including the Arabs in the Third Temple is at hand.

“This is precisely what it seems to be: a simple move towards true peace, ” Rabbi Shtern told Breaking Israel News. “Geula (redemption) is very near. It can either come in war and hardship, or it can come in peace and mercy. We are inviting the B’nei Yishmael to choose peace and godliness.”

The rabbi explained that should the quoted Rabbi Elijah ben Solomon Zalman, a foremost Jewish authority from the 18th century known as the “Vilna Gaon.”

“If a single sacrifice is brought in the Third Temple,” Rabbi Shtern said, quoting the Vilna Gaon. “The shofar announcing the Messiah will already start to blow.”

“Until now, there has not been a place for Jews to have peace, for non-Jews among themselves to have peace,” Rabbi Shtern said. “Every religion has a belief in moshiach (Messiah), in an end to one reality and the beginning of a new reality. In this new reality, every person, every religion, has their place and their purpose.”

Rabbi Hillel Weiss, spokesman of the Sanhedrin, explained that motives that led to the Sanhedrin writing the letter.

“The letter is not asking for monetary support,” Rabbi Weiss stressed to Breaking Israel News. “The Sanhedrin is not asking for permission from foreign governments or from the Israeli government. Building the Temple is not political or legal. It is a mitzvah (Torah commandment) incumbent upon the Jews.”

Rabbi Weiss noted that the invitation was not a political maneuver or even a religious imperative.

“The letter does not reach out to other religions because of their belief but rather because of their ancestral role as the Children of Esau and the Children of Ishmael,” Rabbi Weiss said. “We are asking them to be prepared to take their part in serving God.”

WHEN TURKEY’S SEMI-OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER YENI SAFAK CALLED FOR URGENT ACTION IN FORMING A 57-NATION “ARMY OF ISLAM” TO BESIEGE AND ATTACK ISRAEL, A SUGGESTION UNDOUBTEDLY APPROVED WITH AT LEAST A WINK AND NOD BY PRESIDENT RECEP TAYYIP ERDOĞAN, IT WOULD SIGNAL THE POSSIBLE INTENT TO CREATE THE LARGEST MILITARY FORCE ON THE PLANET – ONE NEARLY AS LARGE AS THE TOTAL POPULATION OF THE JEWISH STATE.

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” Zechariah 12:2,3 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: The astute student of Bible prophecy knows something that almost none of the world’s leaders who constantly try to bring peace to the Middle East are aware of. There can be no peace, and there will be no peace in the Middle East without deciding the fate of Jerusalem. Why all the fuss over Jerusalem? Because that is where the King of Kings will return to when He rules and reigns for one thousand years on the Throne of David. The entire Battle of Armageddon will be fought over who has the right to Jerusalem, and the global army of Islam will be the muscle behind the Antichrist for the time of Jacob’s trouble.

The report came just ahead of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and was published under the headline, “What if an Army of Islam was formed against Israel?” It was translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

But it wasn’t a rhetorical question. It was actually a suggestion to combine the military forces of all Islamic countries to overwhelm the Israeli army in manpower, budget and equipment – even boasting with statistics.

On December 12, 2017, ahead of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, the Turkish daily Yeni Şafak, which is close to Erdoğan and his ruling AKP party, published an article titled “A Call for Urgent Action,” which also appeared on the paper’s website under the title “What If an Army of Islam Was Formed against Israel?” The article called on the 57 member states of the OIC to form a joint “Army of Islam” to besiege and attack the state of Israel.

It notes that such a joint army will greatly exceed the Israeli army in manpower, equipment and budget, and presents statistics to prove this. It also advocates establishing joint bases for the army’s ground, air and naval forces that will arrive from all over the Muslim world to besiege Israel, while noting that Pakistan, as the only nuclear country, has “a special status” among the OIC countries. An interactive map provides information on military forces stationed in various locations and the role they can play in the potential joint Muslim attack on Israel.

Much of the information in the article was provided by Turkey’s SADAT International Defense and Consulting Company, which provides consultancy on defense and warfare, both conventional and unconventional, and on military organization, training and gear. The company promotes pan-Islamic military cooperation. According to its mission statement, it seeks “to establish defense collaboration and defense industry cooperation among Islamic countries, to help the Islamic world take its rightful place among the superpowers by providing … strategic consultancy and training services to the militaries and homeland security forces of Islamic countries.”

The SADAT company was founded by Erdoğan’s senior adviser on military affairs, retired General Adnan Tanrıverdi, and is chaired by his son, Melih Tanrıverdi. Adnan Tanrıverdi served in the Turkish army’s artillery corps and is an expert on asymmetric warfare. He was dismissed from the Turkish military in 1996 for his Islamist leanings.

IN THE REPORT, ISRAEL IS DESCRIBED AS “THE OUTPOST OF THE NEW CRUSADE AND A DAGGER IN THE HEART OF ISLAM,” AND “THE EYES, EARS AND FIST OF THE CHRISTIAN WORLD.”

“If the OIC member states unite and form a joint military force, it will be the largest army in the world,” the newspaper report said. “These countries’ total population is 1,674,526,931. The number of soldiers in active service in these countries is at least 5,206,100. Their [overall] military defense budget, of $174.7 billion, is also worthy of emphasis.”

It continues by contrasting the size of this potential Islamic force with Israel’s military capabilities.

“As for Israel, it is significantly inferior,” the report said. “The population of this country, which attempted to occupy Jerusalem while surrounded by Muslim states, is 8,049,314. Note that the population of Istanbul alone exceeds 14 million. The number of soldiers in active service in the [Israeli] occupation forces is 160,000, and [Israel’s] defense budget is approximately $15.6 billion.

THE REPORT SUGGESTED THE FORMATION OF A “JERUSALEM TASK GROUP” TO TAKE STEPS TO FORM AN ISLAMIC ARMY THAT WOULD BESIEGE ISRAEL.

The report also noted Pakistan, with its nuclear arsenal, “has important status among the 57 Muslim countries.”

In a statement, Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein described President Donald Trump’s Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as a blow to Muslims, and added: “The Malaysian armed forces are ready to fulfill their duty regarding Jerusalem.” source

The Riddle of Passover Bone

During the Jewish celebration of Passover, a special plate with symbolic items is set as the centerpiece of every table. Passover is the remembrance of the Exodus of God’s chosen people from Egypt. One of the items placed on this special plate is a bone. The name of the bone in Hebrew is זְרוֹעַ (zeroah) which literally means, “arm”.

The bone is meant to represent the Passover lamb offered in the days when the temple stood in Jerusalem. Today, there is no lamb on the Passover menu because God commanded His people to eat not just lamb, but specifically the “sacrificed lamb” to celebrate the feast. But why is the bone placed at the center of the Passover table called an “arm” – זְרוֹעַ (zeroah)? A lamb and an arm are entirely different things!

The answer lies in the description of how God promised to deliver Israel. “Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm (בִּזְרוֹעַ נְטוּיָה) and with great judgments (Ex 6:6). Traditionally, the bone is supposed to be the shank bone of the lamb – and herein lies the symbolism. The outstretched arm of the LORD – זְרוֹעַ (zeroah) can be seen as the sacrificed lamb whose blood shielded the firstborn of Israel from the plague of death.

New technology with the ability to create hyper-realistic fake videos has the potential to wreak havoc on the political landscape, lawmakers and technology experts say.

The tech allows people’s faces to be superimposed onto different bodies in other videos. Different technology can also allow allow facial expressions to be altered. Adobe even has a program to create new audio from text.

Currently, fake video technology requires manipulation of existing video footage of a person, and cannot create fake video from scratch with just a picture.

Right now, the technology is not that widespread and can still be detected by experts. But it is improving rapidly.

Such videos have already caused controversy. Fake pornographic videos have been made by face-swapping celebrities into pornographic movies. In February 2018, the popular content sharing website Reddit banned the r/deepfakes subreddit, which had been used to share fake pornographic content featuring celebrities.

Reddit updated its rules prohibiting sharing pornographic content of someone without that person’s consent to include faked images.

The combination of the different emerging technologies means it is highly likely we will soon see videos of public figures saying and doing things which never happened, that are all but indistinguishable from the real thing.

In July 2017, a team of researchers created a fake video of former president Barack Obama giving a speech he never gave, as an experiment.

The national security implications for terrorist groups using this technology are very worrying.

They will be able to create images of politicians announcing strikes that never happened, announcing anti-Muslim policies that don’t exist, making racist and bigoted remarks they never said or even footage of war crimes that never took place.

As Lawfare blog writes “The spread of deep fakes will threaten to erode the trust necessary for democracy to function effectively, for two reasons.

First, and most obviously, the marketplace of ideas will be injected with a particularly-dangerous form of falsehood. Second, and more subtly, the public may become more willing to disbelieve true but uncomfortable facts.”

The deepfakes trend takes existing problems with fake news to the next level. As fake news spreads, the public will be less and less inclined to believe what they see, hear and read, and more inclined to rely on tribal in-groups and partisan sources they trust to support their specific narratives and interests.

Terrorists can and probably will manipulate these passions in three main ways:

Faking anti-Muslim hate crime and anti-Muslim bigotry in order to sow distrust between communities. It achieves this goal by making Muslims more afraid of non-Muslims, and by making non-Muslims less likely to trust stories of anti-Muslim bigotry.

Faking terrorist attacks and making sophisticated threats to spread fear and reduce our ability to respond appropriately to genuine danger.

Faking news reports or other information about genuine terrorist attacks, in order to increase confusion and put more lives at risk (ie falsely giving information that a suspect has been subdued when in fact there are more gunmen at large).

Deep fake videos are “like a weapon of mass destruction in the world of fake news and extremist propaganda, especially for hostile intelligence agencies engaging in political influence operations,” Clarion Project National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro said.

Yet despite the risks, the technology is ploughing ahead with no signs of slowing. The website deepfakes.club offers tutorials to anyone with an internet connection on how to create fake videos.

Nor are government attempts to develop reliable ways of authenticating content likely to be effective.

“We all will need some form of authenticating our identity through biometrics. This way people will know whether the voice or image is real or from an impersonator,” Congressman Ro Hanna (D-CA) told The Hill.

He called on the military’s research and development wing, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), to create secure authentication techniques.

Yet the lighting-quick development of digital technologies suggests any such process would become liable to manipulation. It even opens up the possibility of a fake video being stamped with a real mark of authentication.

“Any technology that will allow you to fingerprint, the adversary is going to figure out how to take it out, manipulate the content, and then put that fingerprint back in,” Dr. Hany Farid, a computer science professor at Dartmouth College, who specialises in digital forensics told ABC News. “That is almost guaranteed.”

Cybersecurity experts are working on possible solutions to the coming threat, but so far have not agreed on a viable path forward.

One year ago, Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi made a startling prediction that witchcraft and black magic would make a comeback in the world. A look back at the headlines of 2017 reveals a disturbing trend: the rabbi was undoubtedly correct.

In a sermon in February 2017, Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi, a mystic with a strong following in Israel, warned that dark powers are re-emerging in the world, seeking to usurp God’s rule. He compared the spiritual condition in the world to Egypt just before the Exodus of the Jews.

“After every plague, Pharaoh, his warlocks, and all of the idol worshippers consulted with their false gods and asked them to remove the plague. This did not help them at all until they turned and cried out to Moses and he stopped the plague in one moment. Then they understood that there was one power above which is God, and it is Him that rules the world and not the power of impurity: serving false gods, idol worship, and fortune telling.”

Remarkably, his predictions seem to be coming true. Witchcraft and idolatry are appearing with increasing frequency, sometimes in insidious manners that present this ancient evil under a multitude of guises that make it appear benign, innocent, or even a positive cultural element.

Below are examples of idolatry appearing in the world in the past year.

Witches Cursing President Trump

Just a few weeks after the rabbi’s prediction, a call went out on social media to use black magic to curse newly inaugurated President Trump. A small group gathered at midnight in front of several of the more prominent Trump-owned buildings around the country, but the organizers reported that tens of thousands participated from their homes, using arcane objects and burning candles while reciting a prearranged incantation to cast a “binding spell”. The call to action requested that the ritual be repeated every crescent moon until President Trump leaves office.

Burning Man Festival

What began over 30 years ago as a small campfire gathering of California artists evolved into a massive annual festival bringing almost 70,000 people to the middle of the desert in Nevada. The upcoming festival in August will feature a structure described as a Temple of the Greek goddess Gaia, who also appears prominently in paganism.

Billed as a cultural gathering, the festival attracts artists and celebrities. Touted as a secular event, many of Burning Man’s major elements are rooted in idolatry. Regular Burning Man installments are a Temple to the Hindu goddess Shiva and a bus decorated in the form of a seven-headed dragon which, in the New Testament, represents Satan. The massive camp is set up to form a massive pentagram in the desert.

Named for a massive wood effigy burned at the end of the festival, the burning man is actually a Celtic custom based on the original pagan human sacrifices. This pagan reference came true last year when a man died after running into the flames.

Catharsis on the Mall Brings Paganism to Washington DC

A Burning Man-inspired event brought paganism to the heart of democracy: the Washington Mall. The three-day event was held in November. It featured all of the pagan trappings of its desert counterpart but the organizers also proposed a 45-foot tall, 16,000 pound, steel sculpture of a naked woman titled “R-evolution” that would stand in front of the Washington Monument, deliberately facing the White House. A permit was issued for the sculpture but, blessedly, later revoked.

The Re-Appearing Arch of Palmyra Connecting New World Order With Ba’al

After the Islamic State (ISIS) destroyed the famous archaeological site in Palmyra Syria, the Institute for Digital Archaeology (IDA), a Harvard-based organization for the preservation of archaeological structures, used 3-D printing technology to recreate the 15 meter tall stone arch that had stood at the site for over 1,800 years. The arch was built as a Roman Victory Arch in front of the temple of Ba’al, a pagan god mentioned frequently in the Bible.

The replica arch first appeared in April 2016 in London’s Trafalgar Square for UNESCO’s World Heritage week, which coincided with Beltane, the major festival for pagans who worship Ba’al. It reappeared in New York City in September of that year.

The arch was erected once again to inaugurate the World Government Summit in Dubai in February 2017. The summit brings together leaders in business, technology, and politics from around the world.

The arch was then erected in Italy in May for the G7 Summit, a meeting of the leaders of the seven largest economies in the world representing more than 64 percent of the net global wealth.

UNESCO: Spreading Paganism to the World

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization was formed to promote peace and security through science and education. Nowhere in its charter does it say the organization should deal in idolatry but last year, pagan gods featured prominently in two of its exhibitions.

In November 2017, The United Arab Emirates, now a sponsor of the Palmyra Arch reproduction, inaugurated the Digital Archaeology Exhibition, “The Spirit in the Stone”, at the United Nations’ headquarters in New York City. The IDA, creators of the arch, used the same 3-D printing process to reproduce a statue of the Roman goddess Athena, which they described as symbolizing the UNESCO values of “reason, refuge and the rule of law”. Athena was, in fact, the Roman goddess of war, as shown by the statue holding a spear.

In January, UNESCO-funded reconstruction of the Lion of al-Lāt, an ancient statue from the Palmyra site partially destroyed by ISIS, was completed with the help of the Institute of Digital Archaeology. The ancient statue, almost 11 feet tall and weighing 15 tons, also stood in the Palmyra Temple and now stands in the National Museum of Damascus.

Biblical scholars associate Al-Lat with the goddess of jealousy and fury despised by the Prophet Ezekiel.

And He said to me, “O mortal, turn your eyes northward.” I turned my eyes northward, and there, north of the gate of the mizbayach, was that infuriating image on the approach. Ezekiel 8:5

Satanic Fashion Show

In September, a Muslim fashion designer decorated a 1,000-year-old London church in a Satanic motif for her show featuring transvestite models dressed as the devil. The Turkish designer, Dilara Findikoglu, is an up-and-coming star in the fashion world with many celebrities wearing her creations.

New AI Religion

A new form of idolatry was added this year, supplementing the myriad forms of sinful worship described in the Bible. Anthony Levandowski, a high-tech millionaire, filed “Way of the Future” with the Internal Revenue Service as an official religion. The new religion is dedicated to “develop and promote the realization of a Godhead based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and through understanding and worship of the Godhead contribute to the betterment of society.”

Levandowski’s new religion should not be confused with Jediism, a religion based on the fictitious Jedi beliefs as portrayed in the Star Wars movie series. Jediism was established in 2001 and has hundreds of thousands of adherents worldwide.

Iceland’s Dedicates First Pagan Temple to Norse Gods in 1,000 Years

The year ended on an idolatrous note with the Asatru Society, the religious organization that worships the Norse gods in Iceland, announcing the imminent completion of construction of the first temple to the Norse gods in 1,000 years. The pagan Norse religion has been making a comeback in recent years, fueled at least in part by its acceptance of homosexuality. A minor tourist industry has cropped up for foreigners who come to Iceland to have Asatru priests perform their same-sex wedding.

The Norse religion, based on Germanic paganism, is now a part of mainstream American pop culture. in 1962 when Marvel Comics began publishing a comic book series featuring the god Thor and other characters from the Norse pantheon. In 2011, Marvel Studios and Paramount Pictures released the movie “Thor”, based on the comic book. That was followed by two more movies, the most recent, “Ragnarok”, based on Norse eschatology.

Turkey To Lead Islamic Army Of 57 Muslim Nations Against Israel?

On Dec. 12, 2017, ahead of the summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, the Turkish daily Yeni Şafak, which is close to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his ruling AKP party, published an article titled “A Call for Urgent Action,” which also appeared on the paper’s website under the title “What If an Army of Islam Was Formed Against Israel?”

The article called on the 57 member states of the OIC to form a joint “Army of Islam” to besiege and attack the state of Israel. It notes that such a joint army will greatly exceed the Israeli army in manpower, equipment and budget, and presents statistics to prove this.

It also advocates establishing joint bases for the army’s ground, air and naval forces that will arrive from all over the Muslim world to besiege Israel, while noting that Pakistan, as the only nuclear country, has “a special status” among the OIC countries.

An interactive map provides information on military forces stationed in various locations and the role they can play in the potential joint Muslim attack on Israel.

The main points of the article are taken from the website of the Turkish SADAT International Defense and Consulting Company, which provides consultancy on defense and warfare, both conventional and unconventional, and on military organization, training and gear.

The company has an agenda of promoting pan-Islamic military cooperation. According to its mission statement, it seeks “to establish defense collaboration and defense industry cooperation among Islamic countries, to help the Islamic world take its rightful place among the superpowers by providing… strategic consultancy and training services to the militaries and homeland security forces of Islamic countries.”

According to Israeli security sources, the SADAT company is involved in aiding Hamas, and seeks to assist – with funds and military gear – the creation of a “Palestine Army” to fight Israel.

SADAT Founder Adnan Tanrıverdi

The SADAT company was founded by Erdoğan’s senior advisor on military affairs, retired general Adnan Tanrıverdi, and is chaired by his son, Melih Tanrıverdi. Adnan Tanrıverdi (b. 1944) served in the Turkish army’s Artillery Corps and headed the Home Front Command in northern Cyprus.

He is an expert on assymetric warfare, and was dismissed from the Turkish military in 1996 for his Islamists leadnings. A former Turkish army officer, Ahmet Yavuz, described him as “an enemy of Atatürk” and stated that his dismissal from the army was not surprising.

The Yeni Şafak article is based on a PDF booklet featuring a number of articles by Tanrıverdi, as well as other materials, that appeared on the homepage of SADAT’s website and has since been removed. Some of the articles are virulently anti-Israel and promote the goal of arming the Palestinians and forming an Army of Islam to eliminate Israel.

Tanrıverdi Associate Arrested In Israel On Suspicion Of Aiding Hamas

Recently, Israel became aware of Tanrıverdi’s activities after it arrested a Turkish academic, Cemil Tekeli, on suspicion of aiding Hamas terrorists in Turkey. According to the Israeli paper Makor Rishon, Tekeli, who has since been deported to Turkey, is a close associate of Adnan Tanrıverdi.

The Bible will be in full color in Jerusalem, as the Tower of David Museum’s new “Night Spectacular” sound and light show is set to open to the public on April 1, 2018.

The show features the Biblical story of David, from shepherd-to-king, projected on the walls and archaeological excavations of the ancient citadel. The site of the Tower of David, although a misnomer, represents a historical connect that is relevant to the modern discussion of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

A Historical Disconnect

Calling the ancient citadel near the Old City of Jerusalem the “Tower of David,” is a misnomer dating back to the Crusaders, as the tower is not located in what we know today was the City of David. Renee Sivan, an archaeologist and the concept creator and curator of the Night Spectacular, told  Breaking Israel News, “there is no connection between the Tower [of David] and David, but there was a myth that it was connected.”

Nevertheless, she said the “multi-fascinated and fascinating character of King David who has inspired artists for hundreds of years was certainly a most fitting subject to explore at the Tower of David.”

Byzantine Christians believed the site to be the palace of King David and derived the name “Tower of David” from a Bible passage in Song of Songs, attributed to King Solomon, King David’s son:

“Your neck is like the Tower of David, Built to hold weapons, Hung with a thousand shields— All the quivers of warriors.” (Song of Songs 4:4)

The Tower of David, home to the Tower of David Museum, is the citadel at Jaffa Gate next to the entrance to the Old City. It is a structure from the time of King Herod with Ottoman additions. However, the true City of David is an archaeological site located just outside the Old City Walls, south of the Dung Gate.

Eilat Lieber, director of the Tower of David Museum, commented on the archaeological disconnect, calling the connection “symbolic.”

“For 2000 years there has been a symbolic connection between the site where the citadel stands today and King David,” Lieber told Breaking Israel News. “It began with the writings of Joseph Ben Matityahu – Josephus Flavius – who described Herod’s palace and the impressive three-tower fortress built next to the palace as the Citadel of David because of its strength and magnificence.”



A Historical Connect: Past, Present and Future

Although the site of the Tower of David is not truly David’s tower, the modern relevance of story of David, illustrated upon the walls of the Tower of David, is undeniable.

“There is no historical person more connected to Jerusalem than the Biblical figure of King David,” Lieber said. She that today, a time when so many voices deny the Jewish peoples’ connection to Jerusalem, the story of King David illuminates the Jewish past, present, and future in Jerusalem.

King David’s story is the story of Jerusalem, and the story of its establishment as the capital of the Jewish homeland 3,000 years ago, when King David conquered the city from the Jebusites and established the capital of his kingdom there. It remained the capital of the Jewish kingdom for 400 years, until the destruction of the first Temple at the hands of the Babylonians, which is well documented in the Biblical books of Samuel, Kings and Chronicles, and in the books of various prophets.

The shared heritage between Jews and Christians began in Jerusalem during the time of King David.

“He was a universal king, and unifies the tribes,” Sivan said, explaining that in Judaism, David is the father of the Davidic dynasty, from which according to tradition, the Messiah will come. Christianity also bases its faith on the Davidic dynasty.

In addition, Sivan said, David has been the inspiration for artists for centuries and is one of the most well-known Biblical figures in the history of art. Part of the show features the great works of art by Chagall, Matisse, Michelangelo and others in an artistic tribute to the artists, painters and sculptors who immortalized the image of the celebrated King David.

In addition to the citadel telling relevant stories of Jerusalem’s past, the Tower of David is ensuring Jerusalem’s future.

According to Amir Halevy, Director-General for the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, the Tower of David Museum’s Night Spectacular show is “a very important product” for Jerusalem. Over 2 million people have already seen the first Night Spectacular, which highlighted the various powers and tumultuous history in Jerusalem’s 4,000 year history, and he maintained that it has greatly contributed to 2017’s record year for Israeli tourism.

“In February, we had 300,000 tourists, 28 percent more than last year,” Halevy told Breaking Israel News. We are always asking ourselves how we can create the new product that will give tourists a reason to stay another night in Jerusalem, and this is the product we need, and why the Night Spectacular is so important.”

Likewise, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat lauded the new night experience at the Tower of David as showcasing the cultural renaissance happening in Jerusalem.

“The Tower of David is an essential Jerusalem landmark that makes our city’s rich history accessible to visitors from Israel and around the globe,” the mayor said. “The new night experience at the Tower of David combines past, present, and future with advanced technology for an engaging display of Jerusalem’s unique role in the world.”

Did Geologists Discover ‘Fountains of the Deep’ From Genesis Flood?

A team of scientists studying diamonds found as far as 500 miles underground has discovered a form of crystallized ice that has never been observed in nature before. The discovery indicates that huge water reserves flow through the earth’s mantle in a manner that very much resembles the “Fountains of the Deep” mentioned in the book of Genesis.

The team, led by geoscientist Oliver Tschauner from the University of Nevada, investigated crystals that formed inside diamonds, which originated 250-500 miles underground, a region of the earth’s mantle known as the “transition zone.” The findings were published Thursday in the journal, Science.

The researchers discovered crystals were from the type, “ice-VII” that is formed under enormous pressure. The scientists estimated that the transition zone, where minerals are more soluble, holds up to ten times more water than other geologic regions. The samples of the diamonds were collected in China, South Africa and Botswana, suggesting that underground pockets of water can be found all over the world.

The ice-VII found in these diamonds was the first scientific evidence of aqueous fluid from the deep mantle. Ice-VII is a solid on the earth’s surface but is in liquid form at the depths from which it originates.

Dr. Oded Navon, professor of geology at Hebrew University, reviewed the study and was willing to discuss the applicability of the discovery of ice-VII to the Bible on a hypothetical level, concluding that the discovery of ice-VII was not evidence of the “Fountains of the Deep” mentioned in the book of Genesis..

“The study did not find proof of a layer of water under the earth,” Professor Navon said to Breaking Israel News.

Though Navon does not personally believe that the Bible describes actual historical events, he suggested how the discovery could be read into Biblical stories.

“If you believed in the Bible as a description of creation, the water in the earth’s mantle would not fit the description of the ‘water below.’”

Hashem made the expanse, and it separated the water which was below the expanse from the water which was above the expanse. And it was so. Genesis 1:7

“The waters were divided by the ‘rakia,’ (firmament) which is like a thin layer,” the professor said, citing the verse in Genesis.

Hashem called the expanse Sky. Genesis 1:8

“The study did suggest the possibility of pockets of water,” Dr. Navon said. “If you want to relate this to the Bible, it would fit nicely with the description of the Flood of Noah in which the flood resulted from rain and water from below.”

Although respectful of religion, Dr. Navon does not believe it has any relevance to his studies.

“The Torah is a beautiful Jewish mythology written by people I adore. It undoubtedly has great worth, but it is mythology, especially in relation to nature,” he said.

“To try to make a connection between the story of creation and science does not bear serious results. There are too many things the Torah does not mention. If God wrote it, he clearly did not intend for us to use it as a scientific manual.”

Dr. Gerald Schroeder, an Orthodox Jewish physicist with a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), believes the opposite is true; that the new discovery relates to the story of Creation.

“There is enough water there to easily flood the earth, but I don’t think this is the source of the water for the flood,” Dr. Schroeder told Breaking Israel News, explaining his interpretation of the Biblical flood as limited to a specific region.

“When the rain fell before the creation of Man, the Hebrew term used is ‘pnei ha’adamah (the surface of the earth).’”

But a flow would well up from the ground and water the whole surface of the earth. Genesis 2:6

“For the flood in the time of Noah, the words used are ‘pnei ha’aretz’ (surface of the land),” Dr. Schroeder noted.

And on the seventh day the waters of the Flood came upon the earth. Genesis 7:10

“‘Ha’adamah’ never appears again by itself in the Torah,” he noted. “Ha’adamah refers to a global phenomenon, but ‘haaretz’, as it describes the flood, refers to a regional phenomenon.

At the same time, Dr. Schroeder does not believe that the discovery of ice-VII is not relevant to Noah’s Flood.

“This scientific discovery has nothing to do with a specific region so it has nothing to do with the Biblical flood story,” he claimed. “The flood certainly happened, but it did not destroy the entire world.”

Dr. Schroeder does feel however, that the discovery helps to emphasize the role that water plays in creation.

“The word ‘shamayim’ (heaven) means ‘sham mayim’ (there is water),” he explained. “Heaven was the first thing God created.”

Dr. Schroeder feels this Biblical aspect of water is lalso reflected in its physical characteristics.

“Water is an essential,” he said. “Nature likes water. Hydrogen and oxygen combine very readily. That’s why water is everywhere in the universe.”

This dual explanation, combining religious and scientific concepts, comes naturally to Dr. Schroeder. He sees science and religion as not only compatible but two fields which must necessarily coexist.

“People who know a lot about science usually get it wrong when they criticize Torah because they don’t know Torah,” Dr. Schroeder added.

“And vice versa. When people try to cancel out either science or Bible, they bend them, and that’s when conflicts occur.”

After a lifetime of religious and scientific studies, Dr. Schroeder sees the two seemingly divergent disciplines coming closer to each other.

“I see these discoveries through the lens of science that is coming closer and closer to seeing the world through the lens of Torah,” he said. “After all, science and Torah have the same author.”

Utah Student Brings ISIS Flag, Bomb to School

First the student at Pine View High School in Saint George, Utah replaced the American flag with an ISIS flag. Then, just two weeks later, he set fire to pieces of paper in his backpack in a bid to detonate an explosive device that would have fired shrapnel in all directions.

The teenager is suspected of possession or use of a weapon of mass destruction, threat of terrorism, graffiti and abuse of a flag.

Alabama Man Pleads Guilty to Supporting ISIS

Aziz Ihab Sayyed, 23, of Huntsville, Alabama pleaded guilty this week to attempting to support ISIS. The crimes attributed to him include distributing ISIS propaganda, researching how to produce explosive materials, and meeting with an undercover agent posing as a member of ISIS to whom he offered to provide services and personnel.

Passover and the End Times

Biblical scholars are well aware of the fact that Jesus celebrated the Passover and that his celebration of this Mosaic festival must shape our understanding of the Lord’s Supper. But while these scholars stress the salvific significance of Passover, they virtually ignore its important eschatological background. (For the uninitiated, eschatology usually refers to what might happen towards the end of history). So, what does Passover have to do with eschatology in Matthew 26:26-29?

Passover evokes the story of the Exodus and God’s delivery of the Jewish people from slavery. Passover also evokes the story of Mt. Sinai and the ratification of the Mosaic covenant that formally established Israel as a nation. Jesus’ declaration that, “this is my blood of the covenant” clearly echoes the words of Exodus 24:8: “This is the blood of the covenant.”

But the Passover celebration of Jesus’ day was more than just a memorial of Israel’s past redemption; it was also a celebration of Israel’s future restoration. The celebration of Passover evoked the theme of the eschatological New Exodus. Biblical passages like Isaiah 11:15-16 and Ezekiel 20:33-38 reveal that Israel’s prophets appropriated the language of the exodus to describe Israel’s return from exile and the inauguration of the messianic era.

Similarly, in the rabbinic material, the Exodus is understood as a paradigm of Israel’s future redemption. Many of these texts express the belief that the Messiah would appear during the night of the Passover. For example, in Mekhitla Exodus 12:42, we read, “In that night were they redeemed and in that night will they be redeemed in the future.”

According to the New Testament, Jesus does inaugurate the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31, which brings about the forgiveness of sin. It is this event that sets in motion God’s plan to restore Israel! The Last Supper weaves together the Passover, the New Exodus, and the New Covenant to reveal God’s amazing plan to redeem his chosen people and to bring great blessing to the world-at-large.

On Sunday, the New York Times reported that during an interview with three White House officials, details were provided regarding the US peace plan for Israel and the Palestinians. While the full details and content of the plan have yet to be unveiled, the officials stated that it will neither call for a two-state solution as one of the outlined goals nor include “fair and just solutions” in regard to Palestinian refugees.

However, the plan will suggest pathways for the establishment of two states and provide steps and alternatives for resolving the refugee problem. The plan will also address the key issues of the conflict: borders, security, refugees and the status of Jerusalem. The officials stated that there will be aspects of the plan that will be opposed and favored respectively by the Israelis and the Palestinians.

The officials also confirmed the upcoming conference discussing the Gaza humanitarian crisis. The meeting will be held on Tuesday and led by Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt. The Palestinian Authority has already stated that it will boycott the conference.

The officials believe that solving the Gaza crisis has a direct hand in aiding the peace process. The US, however, must reconcile relations with the Palestinians since Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and announced the move of the US embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

There are a growing number of Christians who think that the celebration of “Easter” is rooted in pagan Babylonian tradition. One of the basic assumptions is that the name “Easter” is a Christian appropriation of “Ishtar”, a Babylonian fertility goddess. Even though the words may sound similar, they probably have no etymological connection. The English word “Easter” likely comes from the Proto-Germanic “austron”, which means “sunrise” – arguably a fitting name for a celebration that commemorates Jesus’ rising from the dead.

It is important to understand that outside of the English-speaking world, “Easter” is known by its proper name “Pascha”. This means that the majority of Christians in the world celebrate, “Pascha” – an Aramaic synonym of the Hebrew Pesach, which means “Passover,” rather than, “Easter.”

During this feast, traditional Christians celebrate the work of Christ’s redemption, believing that only in His resurrection is God’s forgiveness truly sealed. Because of Jesus’ resurrection, the wrath of God passes over the heads of believers just as the Angel of Death passed over the Israelite homes marked by the blood of the lamb during their captivity in Egypt.

However, an average, English-speaking Christian often fails to see the direct connection between “Easter/Pascha” and “Passover/Pesach”. Many of the rituals and customs appear different. Also, in order to ensure that no one connected (and therefore confused) the two, it was decided at the Council of Nicea (325 CE) that the feast of Easter/Pascha would be celebrated according to a different calendar – not on the 14^th of Nissan as was originally decreed in the Torah of Moses.

Is Easter a Pagan holiday? No. In fact, it is fundamentally a biblical holiday, but one that has been robbed of its true Jewish character and taken out of its original Israelite setting.

Are Gentiles Stones Turned Children?

One of the classic themes in replacement theology (the belief that Christians have “replaced” the Jews in covenant relationship with God) is that even stones can be turned into God’s children. A number of new testament texts (i.e. Luke 3:7-8) are commonly used to support this traditional theology.

For example, John the Baptist spoke to his fellow Judeans:

“You brood of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Therefore, bear fruits in keeping with repentance, and do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham for our father,’ for I say to you that from these stones God is able to raise up children to Abraham.” (Luke 3:7-8)

The mistaken assumption is that these texts are describing a “Jews” versus “Gentiles” mentality, while in reality, they are contrasting “Jews” and “Better Jews” instead. This Jewish prophet confronted his fellow Jews who thought that they can go through his water-washing without true life-changing repentance and still receive God’s pardon. In a similar incident, Jesus, in his confrontation with some Judeans who opposed him said, “If you are Abraham’s children, do the deeds of Abraham.” (John 8:39)

Finally, those who embrace replacement theology often cite Paul’s words to the Christ-following assembly in Rome to (wrongly) support their view that Christians have replaced the Jews as God’s uniquely chosen people:

“…not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are from Israel; nor are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants, but: ‘through Isaac your descendants will be named.’ That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are regarded as descendants.” (Rom. 9:6-8)

An ancient Jewish prayer (Ribon Kol HaOlamim) used regularly today sheds light on the error that Jesus, John the Baptist, and Paul were all attempting to correct.

“Master of Eternity, it is not because of our righteousness that we bring before you our supplications, but because of your great mercy. What is our faithfulness?! What is our righteousness?! …What can be possibly said before you, Lord God, God of our Fathers?! …but we are children of your beloved Abraham, to whom You swore on Mount Moriah. We are the seed of Isaac his only son, who was bound on the altar. We are the witnessing community of Jacob, chosen and loved to the utmost by You…”

The child of the flesh is Ishmael, while the child of the promise is Isaac (notice that both Isaac and Ishmael were living, breathing sons of Abraham!). The contrast between Isaac and Ishmael is not between two different “races” but between two sons of the same father, who chose to relate to God in radically different ways: one in faithfulness (Gen.22) and the other in rebellion (Gen. 16:12). Isaac’s life throughout the Book of Genesis was characterized by faith and obedience to God. Isaac was not only related to his father by blood but also by living (and receiving God’s favor) the same way that his dad did – by grace through faith.

In other words, John the Baptist, Paul, and Jesus all agree that while the connection with Abraham is very special, it is an “Abraham-like” faithful and trusting living under the blessed promise of God that reconfirms a person’s ultimate “belonging” to Israel.
