Tukey: Turkophobia is on the rise in Europe | JerusalemOnline

It appears that Turkey is not attempting to repair its relations with Europe ahead of the country’s constitutional referendum, which will take place on April 16. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s spokesperson stated today (Sunday) that additional ministers will travel to Germany in order to attend rallies in support of the constitutional changes, a move that has already angered the German government and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Both in Holland and in Germany, the local authorities have prevented rallies that Erdoğan’s government is trying to hold from taking place. Turkish citizens living outside of Turkey will be allowed to vote in the April referendum and Erdoğan is intensely campaigning for their support.
