[Mat 7:13]  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for WIDE IS THE GATE, AND BROAD IS THE WAY, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat…

How many of us truly heeded the dire warning from the Lord Jesus which, if ignored, will lead to destruction.

[Mat 7:14] Because STRAIT is the gate, AND NARROW is the way, which leadeth unto life, and FEW THERE BE THAT FIND IT.

And how many of us complacently take comfort in knowing that there will only be FEW that will find the way which leads to life. Are we counted in the FEW group?

The following video report starts with the statement that there are many churches’ leaders who say we need to reinvent  Christianity to reach out to what’s called the post-modern generations…the core promise of a post-modern philosophy is the idea that truth is subjective and therefore are relative…all the emerging faith is subjectivism and denial of absolute truth and everybody can come to their own truth and all can  come together in unity within the emerging church because they have thrown out the idea absolute objective truth…

From this article, we will be introduced to Ancient Future Faith…which says that the traditional Christianity is too legalistic and too dry.

The truth about yoga, contemplative prayer…looking for subjective personal encounter with God and if we can find it from other religion, let us borrow it.

Many people who are seeking after experience in Christianity are not interested in studying the Word of God; they say that we are teaching the Bible word by word, verse by verse, where as what they need is the experiences; “you need to be able to smell God; you got to feel God touch”…these ideas take people away from the Word of God towards mystical experiences and his experiences are exactly the kinds of things that are practiced in the east by those who promote eastern mysticism…

A look into the Invasion of the old New Age Movement

in today’s Post Modern Church.

While we, the Apostolic Church founded by the Lord Jesus Christ that follows the teachings of the Apostles are waiting for the coming of our  Lord Jesus Christ to take us home, every other religion, is waiting for their own version of messiah: Muslims are waiting for the 12th Imam or Mahdi; Buddhists are waiting for another and another Dalai Lama; while the Hindus are waiting for the Avatar!

Judaic Jews rejected the Messiah-ship of the Lord Jesus Christ and are planning to build the Third Temple and resume animal sacrifices. While the present political climate in Israel does not allow for the construction of this temple, the book of Daniel [9:27] predicted that the soon to be revealed Mahdi or Dalai Lama or Avatar will make the building of the temple a reality for the Jews, who will accept him as the true messiah.  Anyone of these presumed messiah will in fact be the antichrist!

God despises syncretism as in taking practices of ancient pagan religions which they think can be sanctified to honor God.  Tilden Edwards, the head of the Sholom Institute in Washington, one of the most prominent contemplative training centers in the country, has said that what makes a practice Christian or not Christian is not in its source but in its intent.

That brought to mind pagans’ holidays: Christmas, Easter, Lent, Good Friday; all non-biblical celebrations and holidays.

So what Tilden Edwards, along with many others in the emerging contemplative movement are saying is, we can embrace these practices, these principles, these teachings from ancient pagan mystery religions, sanctify them by sprinkling Christian terminology if our intent is to honor God with it, then by definition they assume God will accept it and is pleased with it.

The Emerging New Christianity morphed into New Age and now it is called New Spirituality. From here other divergence evolved: The Power of the Positive Confession; the Word of Faith Movement (Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, etc).

However it is contrary to the Word of God; the Word of God says they’re bringing strange fire into the church.

From a Zen master, Thomas Keating taught “centering” movement; that is to take one word and “center” it in your mind and spirit to open up oneself to the divine spirit, which leads into communion with the Kudalini (snake) spirit!

The next demonic agenda concocted by apostate churches is “how to unite the various faith”. Rick Warren started such movement and is known as ChrisLam.  Read further: Islam in the Christian Church – Christlam, “A Common Word” Document:

The pope had recently called and obeyed to by charismatic church leaders headed by Kenneth Copeland, to unite with the Roman Catholic church. Joel Osteen the leader of a  church with the  largest numbers of members under his wing, was recently invited by the pope to attend, joint Muslim, Jewish and Christian prayers at the Vatican along with, of course, Kenneth Copeland etc.

Continuing from VOLUME 1: A look into the Invasion of the old New Age Movement in today’s Post Modern Church.

*COMING SOON* WIDE IS THE GATE VOLUME 3 (check website for details)

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. [2Ti 4:2-4]

That is why I am taking the time to show you the two video’s report above. Furthermore, I myself had been duped into believing and following those false teachers. As a church, we took in everything then, what Kenneth Hagin, Morris Cerulo, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and the like shoved down our throats.

I know of an ethnic church which translated Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven books.

By this article, I would hope that you are aware if you are being led down the WIDE ROAD or  the NARROW ROAD. Our redemption draws near, it is no longer fashionable nor safe to play church!

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. [Titus 3:7-8]
